Oh. Don't worry about it.

[ It's not an issue. Weiss glances back Cloud's way without really saying anything about it, even tipping the box a little so Cloud can have easier access to getting the snack.

The movie's still not interesting, but Weiss continues to give it a chance. Maybe she's just not cut out for movies, though. She prefers reading books or watching plays. And it's not like she had much people to watch movies with in the first place...

It's about forty-five minutes into the movie that Weiss has had her fill of the snacks. She's wiped her hands on a napkin and has folded it and set it aside. Her drink is large, but and she's only had about half of it. She's bound to get some more popcorn later, but she's fine for now. Her hands are back on her lap, though they don't stay there for long.

It's starting to get cold. Weiss' hair is down, at least, so her neck doesn't make it feel like it's freezing. The dress she wears doesn't have any sleeves though, and doesn't even have straps so she can easily just zip it up. Cordis doesn't make dressing up easy, given the feathers on her arms. She's tried to wear shrugs before, but they would pucker. Cloud might notice Weiss moving closer now, and it's not even because of the bucket of popcorn on his lap. ]

[ The little "thanks" he gives her is so subtle, that he doesn't think twice of grabbing a few kernels for himself. For someone who didn't really go to the movies much, he's at least catching onto the little nuances of cinema etiquette. By his own admittance, he's absorbing the film's plot, but it's moreso because everyone's relatively staying quiet. Cloud is momentarily distracted during a more boring, non-action part of the film, at first chancing a glance Weiss' way as she snacks and sips on her drink, and then to the rest of the people around them. There's a couple a couple rows down that are getting nice and cozy with one another.

Seems they're more interested in each other than what's actually happening on-screen. Speaking of which... ]

[ The film distracts him for only so long before he notices her moving a little closer. He blinks, but at first doesn't think much of it until she's effectively brushing against his side. Though he doesn't say anything, the cock of his brow enough to tell he's wondering if something was wrong. As his hand brushes across her thigh however (he's taken his gloves off who eats popcorn with gloves kjdfahs), he can feel how cold her skin was getting. Even with the soft feathers that cover her. ]

Chilly?

[ He whispers so as to not disturb the others. They're surrounded by people. Families, couples, groups of friends all out passing the time for the evening with some action flick. The light of the scene catches some of the blush on Cloud's face as he wars with himself on what to do. Before he'd taken her hand in public to get some Chroma back (and to balance out her burnout), but here on this love seat with her, he's beginning to think about just how...intentional these seatings were. It's all that was left, mind. But... ]

[ She is softer than usual with the feathers and her down-like hair... It's dark enough in the theatre. You know what? Throwing caution to the wind. He doesn't say anything, the popcorn in his lap as he lets out a relaxing sigh. And Weiss will find herself with a strong arm draped across her shoulders, a silent invitation to take whatever warmth she can get against his side. That thick ribbed vest of his was cozy. This is cool. This is fine. It's just a hangout with some snacks at the movies. ]

I'm not dressed for the movies.

[ She really isn't!! It's why she accepts the invitation, moving even closer until she can lean on his chest. But that's uncomfortable, because the feathers in her hair feel trapped between her head and his arm. She shifts in her seat 'til she's facing a little to the side, but this also means the only place she can rest her arms is... nowhere. One arm behind Cloud? Yeah, she'll just dip her hand beneath him and force him to adjust so she can wrap her arm around him.

It's cosy. ]

No complaining. It's cold.

[ (Weiss would certainly complain if it were the other way around, though. Who's got a lot of nerve now?) ]

Hmm... Guess not, huh.

[ Cordis. Cordis. Riiight. The initial contact of having Weiss leaning on his chest wasn't so bad. To any passerby, it's just someone getting appropriately cozy on a loveseat. With his arm over her as well, it wasn't so bad. In fact, Moonlacing 101 was in full swing here and it's already feeling pleasant. The dark was helping too. ...thaaat is until Weiss starts to slide one of her arms under him. He instinctively arches his back when he feels it, looking back to Weiss until she's effectively wrapped an arm around him.

And in this position, Cloud ain't giving no silly hoverhand either. His arm is wrapped around her petite frame, his hand resting along the soft feathers along her arm. Couldn't wrap his arm around her too far or he might be reaching around her front and ahem. Yeah. He's not sure if even Cordis' mischievous streak would save him from that accidental slip. ]

Hoo...

[ ~~Like the owl.~~ ]

[ It's hard to tell what Weiss' reaction might be to that, but it would likely be a violent one considering how she is.

Her other hand splays against his chest, not intentionally feeling his muscles or anything, but she's still fixing how she wants to sit! Don't get the wrong idea, Strife!

Once she's comfortable, though, feet partially off the floor by now, she heaves out a sigh. ]

Better. Go watch the movie.

[ She'll just soak in the warmth and get comfy and focus on the Chroma for now. To her, this is better than the film being shown. ]

[ He's getting the wrong idea. He's definitely getting the wrong idea but not saying jack shit about it, Schnee! Cloud's body is most certainly getting a touch warmer, and he feels a little hotter under the collar. Not that this was turning him on or anything, but suddenly having Weiss cuddled up by his side and that hand against his broader chest is...

He whips his head around impulsively, breath catching in his throat as he's making sure no one is watching them. Why? They're at a movie. Yet as she heaves a sigh, the little snow owl of a huntress finding her perch against the big yellow chocobo, he submits as he lounges back in his seat a bit more. Which has the effect of her laying against him more comfortably.

...stupid loveseat in the middle of a goddamn theatre. So out of place yet...ingenious and...comfy and shit. ]

Mm.

[ It's a fight scene. And the choreography is impressive (he doesn't see a lot of movies so maybe that's why...), but Cloud is missing some details. Probably because of the fact that he can't help peeking down at Weiss. She's being really cute right now...and it's making his heart beat a little faster beneath her hand. It's a good thing he doesn't nervously shuffle or move against her. ]

[ Close. Too close and pressed up against him! It feels good to give and take all this Chroma. Especially since it's someone like Weiss; don't get him wrong! It's just...t-that tube top. He swallows, lets out a slow and calming sigh, and focuses back on the movie, his thumb absentmindedly running along the feathers of her arm.

"Go watch the movie," she says. Tch! As if Cloud can just ignore the fact that having her cuddled up against him during Cordis was testing his pheromone tolerance and patience and-

...hoo boy. ]

[ Weiss has truly stopped paying attention to the movie by now. Apart from Cloud being warm, the soft flow of Chroma from being generated is nice and relaxing. That's where her mind is.

Not to mention, Cloud being up close like this is distracting. They've been close before, yes, but she's never truly had the chance to observe him.

The theatre's lighting is dim, so she can barely make his features this way, but she's able to see the faint glow of his eyes from where she is. The shape of his hair is weird... she's seen it down before, but it kind of went back up on its own??? That's weird as hell!! But when she touched it, when her fingers would comb his hair, she felt it was soft. (She wonders now, what he might do if she touched his hair.)

Or...

What if...? ]

Why are they there now? [ What happened in the movie that now there's a fight scene? She's not sure how to link the scenes together, ah... But does she care? Not really. It's more to serve as a distraction to him; she's pretending to pay attention to the movie now, so that he won't notice how her fingers deftly pull down the zipper of his sweater. ]

[ Cloud's mind is torn between following whatever the plot is and making sure Weiss was as content as possible. She's the one stuck between the constant need to either moonlace or eat during this cycle after all. He's just doing his good service! ...right? Hah. Keep fooling yourself, Ex-SOLDIER boy. ]

Mm?

[ The action is loud enough on screen that them talking wouldn't disturb anyone else. He gives a thoughtful little "Umm..." as he forces his brain to go into full-on cinema mode. Hard to do when he's distracted by a snowy owl's presence. But this is good! Maybe trying to connect the dots for her would keep him occupied and not give away too many hints. It's not that he's uncomfortable. It's just that he...really doesn't want to get too comfortable either that he draws a "what are you doing?" from her. Little does he know... ]

That guy-- [ Currently on screen performing a flip over the protagonist. ] --was getting chased by-- [ INSERT PROTAG NAME HERE ] --'cause he recognized the tattoo from when the start of the movie.

And uh...

[ Zzziiiiiiip. ]

[ Weiss lets out a thoughtful hum, as if she understands everything that Cloud just said. The summary should help if she paid attention to the previous scenes, but she doesn't even know the name of the protagonist...

She casually slips in the hand of hers beneath his sweater. Cloud's skin is warm, a huge contrast to how cold her fingers are, and the feeling of her body feeling warm again is good. Or maybe it's the Chroma?? Maybe both. She doesn't know, but a satisfied little moan escapes her. ]

I thought he was the sidekick.

[ You know, totally ignoring what she's doing to him and addressing what's going on in the movie. Just like that. ]

No, that was uh... [ processing . . . processing . . . processing . . . ] ...sorry. I forgot his name...

[ Jesus that's a cold hand. His skin feels so hot in contrast under that vest of his. He may have suppressed the urge to shudder at the surge of Chroma combined with her cool touch, but that's still gonna earn Weiss an involuntary flex of his chest beneath her hand. That surprised the hell out of him. Don't? Do that?! ...is what he wants to say but his body is speaking the truth for him. Not to mention that sweet little moan of satisfaction in getting what she wanted, something for his ears alone, was enough to get him to finally let out a shaky breath.

It feels good. She smells good. And now he can't help but shoot her an incredulous yet immensely flustered look that's somehow torn between, "Weiss what the fuck" and "Don't stop". The look only lasts for a good couple of seconds however. He can't. God damnit he just can't with her. She's got him beat, in more ways than one. He melts a little looking at her (made only easier thanks to her pheromones), and the final proverbial wall of ice he's put up is shattered. ]

Guess I wasn't paying attention, [ He fesses quietly, the popcorn in his lap completely forgotten as he hugs her against his side. ]

[ Yeah, yeah, she gets it. She's getting to him, and maybe that's what she wanted in the first place. Cordis moonblessed being mischievous was no joke; Weiss just wouldn't do something like this on a normal day.

Today? This was fun. ]

Too much?

[ She says it with a giggle, getting cosy again as she leans on him, nuzzling her cheek on his chest in the process. She'll stop if it's too much! Part of her is comfortable with Cloud, enough that her actions go past her usual ~~shyness~~ iciness. It's not like they need to talk about how the two of them see each other, she thinks, because she honestly wouldn't do any of the things she's done with Cloud if she wasn't remotely attracted to him. She'd like to think that he's the same way. ]

[ Cloud would be a bold-faced liar to say that he didn't have fun today. She introduced him to so many new things, got him out of his shell further, and now they've practically made their money back and then some over the course of a stay at the movies. As she asks him if what she was doing was too much, he finds himself thinking long and hard about that question. He's got a cool front to put up, and when the going got tough, Cloud was one of the first on the frontlines to stand up and fight. He didn't show this side of himself to just anybody either, kinder and less stoic as he's become in his stay here. ]

[ She wouldn't be able to see it from where she's nuzzling against his chest, but a smile does start to form on his lips. Though she might be able to sense it in the way he lets out a softer huff. Nah. Weiss wasn't being too much. It's true- he's been attracted to her longer than he would have thought he was before. Whether it was the Cordis moon bolstering her mischievous side, or a night of salvaging his life and Chroma, there wasn't a single side of her that he could think of telling no. Ultimately, she got the reaction she wanted out of him, and he gave in all the same.

Even his heart wasn't racing frantically in his chest anymore. Just a gentle beat for her as the film effectively turns into background noise. Besides... ]

No.

[ Even if she was being "too much"... ]

What's that supposed to mean?

[ Classic Weiss Schnee.

If Cloud says she's not being too much though, then that's fine. It's a relief, because the last thing she wants to do is make whatever they have going on weird. It's... not ideal, and it certainly isn't orthodox, but it works for them. They have a positive relationship going on.

It's more of a rhetorical question, though, because Weiss is more than happy to drop the subject now that she's comfy and she knows he's fine with it. There's not much she knows of the movie, but she should probably leave Cloud to watching it. He might be enjoying it, after all. ]

Ahh nevermind...

[ Rhetorical though it may be, if she thought to ask him later, Cloud might have found himself getting a bit embarrassed. A certain somebody remembers what people say to him, including a certain Cordis who oh-so-affectionately fondled his ears when he was a wolf. For now, he's in the same boat as she is, all the more content in 'watching' the movie with her. He lost parts of the plot already, so he's more or less just clinging onto the action scenes whenever they showed up.

He doesn't feel tired, yet his eyelids feel heavy anyways. Of course, what he doesn't realize is that a lot of it has to do with the pheromones Weiss is giving off. He feels like he's sinking into the sofa with her, not going limp per se- just loosening up enough while still holding her close to him. She can content herself at his side, feel his warm skin beneath her hand and the rhythmic beat of his heart. Even Cloud's more aware of the beating in his chest, and how good it feels against her hand splayed against it. As the film goes on, they reach the actual 'Crystal Fist Tournament' part of the movie. And the protagonist's next opponent looks oddly familiar.

Cloud doesn't stir completely, though it still raises an eyebrow when they're given an equally ~~chuuni/weaboo~~ name to go along with that CGI'd wig of spiky white hair. "Kero Satō."

...

They totally ripped him off from his undercover stint as Kumo. He doesn't know whether to be offended or humbled. Maybe it's all just a coincidence and,

"Not interested." ]

...

(I do not sound like that.)

What's up with you?

[ Weiss may not be able to connect the dots as well as Cloud can (she's not paying attention to the movie, after all), but she can at least tell there's something off. Maybe it's minor, maybe it's not a big deal at all, but the way Cloud's expression changes startles Weiss a little.

And yes, she was watching him. ]

Uhh...

[ Weiss don't watch him while practically feeling up his chest dammit! ...okay that's not the problem. It's more Cloud turning his head to look down at her and being reminded oh-so-intimately how close they are. ...which also isn't a problem. ~~Even if she's in kissing distance.~~ But he doesn't want to ruin their lounging position by getting into a conversation over some knockoff of him. So he just timidly smiles, arching his back for a sec to get comfy before answering her.

He doesn't shrug it off entirely though. ]

[ It really is almost like a bird watching Cloud right now with how focused Weiss seems to be on him. Her lips are slightly pursed as she waits for an answer, too. When she gets it, she shrugs one shoulder and then goes back to watching the movie. She won't force an answer out of him! It's not a big deal, especially when he says he'll tell her later.

She slips her hand from under Cloud's sweater back out to get food. Cold air greets her fingertips, but it's not so bad given the warmth from earlier. The popcorn is on Cloud's lap, but Weiss can at least see easily enough that she dips her hand in and doesn't touch anything funny. She may as well eat the popcorn... she's getting hungry again. ]

[ Like a staring contest with a chocobo. Except arguably cuter. He really wouldn't mind sharing with her- especially if it meant giving the movie a little bit of sass. It's clear that the two were using the movie as a means to pass the time together. That and while he's gotten far better at talking and socializing in the months since he got here (and found his true self), it was kind of nice to have talking go on the backburner and just enjoy somebody's company. Silence didn't = awkwardness. More than words.

Weiss' hand dips into the popcorn first, and after she takes a couple passes at snacking, Cloud's free arm not wrapped around the petite huntress dips into his lap for it too. He's less hungry, but he's discovering why popcorn was so addicting in the theatre sometimes. With or without Cordis, it's just habitual to wanna snack on something. There's a break in the movie's action and it's supposed to be an emotionally connecting scene between the protagonist and what he can only assume was their...love interest? He kind of wasn't paying attention- that or the film didn't really set them up well enough. Because Cloud's just kind of "meh" at the next makeout scene and thinking of some popcorn too.

Only this time when he dips his hand into the bucket, he doesn't shy away when it overlaps Weiss'. Her once cooler touch was warmer now. He's okay with being this close to her, she's comforting, and it's no big deal to simply brush his hand over to the side to snag a couple kernels for himself and snack on them. ]

[ Maybe it's the Cordis moon's effects on Weiss, or maybe it's Weiss not into these kinds of things, but when the makeout scene happens? She stops and stares. It's not that raunchy, but it catches her attention and tints her cheeks red. Good lord, this is embarrassing???

She swallows. Hard. When she manages to look away, the way she chomps on that popcorn is a little more intense than she normally eats. This time, when Cloud's hand accidentally bumps into hers, she can feel even her ears get warmer. ]

Why do action movies have to have scenes like this?

[ In which Weiss is embarrassed and speechless so she just complains to calm herself down. ]

[ The Prismal crowd seems to be really into it, at least. Cloud's own reaction might have been a bit more uncomfortable if it weren't for how the Chroma received from her left him more relaxed. But her response does catch his attention, turning his head towards her again. ]

Y'alright? [ "Why do action movies have to have scenes like this?" ] I dunno. Maybe they...

[ Oh. That most certainly was the girl hooking her legs around the guy and grinding on him as she gets pressed into the wall alright. Then there goes her shirt for the bra shot. Aaand there's the close-up of them kissing and exchanging heated sighs. Okay, Cloud was nonchalant about it before? But he's not immune either, his words dying in his throat as he does his damnest to sit still. Does this turn him on? Not really. Embarrass him? A little, even if it's not as much as Weiss. ...does watching this while cuddled up to Weiss leave him feeling weird? ...yup. ///

At least the scene switches over to a pan of the Lunatian skyline and moons before transitioning to the morning after. Oh, so it's a "tasteful" sex scene, huh. He doesn't watch enough of these movies, but. This is definitely a thing in some action movies. But it's over now and they're onto the next scene. This time of the clear villains of the film discussing their final plans for the tournament and the protagonist. ]

[ Guess that's one way to catch an audience's attention. Cloud's body will feel a bit warmer than usual, even as he decides to take a sip of his drink to try and cool down. No avail there. He's ~~blushing~~ toasty. :') ]

[ Her heart is pounding and she's yelling at herself internally to calm down. This is weird! This is very weird, and Weiss has to shift in her seat, changing her position to half-laying on the seat and resting on Cloud to almost getting up and off from that position. Part of her wants to go back to how she was seated prior to feeling cold, but it's cold and she really was comfortable cuddled up to him. The makeout scene just had to ruin it all. ]

... Whatever.

[ And then she plops right back on Cloud, her body hitting his arm with a barely audible thud as she surrenders to the scenes in the movie. As awkward as that was, and as much as it's made her thirsty, she doesn't want the awkwardness to continue. She was comfortable like this before, after all!

But she does let out a sigh once she's settled against him again. ]

This is better, anyway.

[ When he feels her shift until she's half off of him, he threatens to sit more upright again, thinking that the movie'd just ruined their flow. If he thought to wear a coat, Cloud just might have given it to her. There is a tinge of a frown that mars his lips, though he hopes it's not noticeable in the darkness. He was comfortable too- almost to the point that if they weren't in public, he'd almost be inclined to hold her closer against him and take a nap. The amount of Chroma they're giving each other is constant yet soothing enough to lull him.

...rather, it would lull him if it wasn't for her deciding to change her mind and settle against him with a quiet 'fwump' against his arm. Weiss is soft, softer than usual with the feathers and her more down-like hair, and having that held against him wasn't something he was going to object to anytime soon. ]

Mm. Better.

[ He agrees, allowing himself to recline back once more as his arm slips down around her waist, a little bit different from just lazily draping it across her shoulders like before. ]

... Ah...

[ The breath that escapes his lips is barely audible, not fully realizing that he's chewing on the corner of his bottom lip for a moment. Ever since that makeout scene earlier, things have been different. Awkward? ...he's not sure he can even call it that anymore. He's too comfortable for that. But his heart is still pounding despite the calm disposition on his face. He occasionally steals glances out the corner of his eye to Weiss laying against him while they watch.

And now it's his turn to swallow. It's rude to say something about her pheromones, but. The movie is becoming less and less interesting to him with every passing moment. Nope. Nope nope. You're here for a day of FroYo and a movie, Cloud.

~~Don't die, Cloud.~~ ]

[ Weiss' pheromones go crazy either when she's not being paid attention to, usually. Apparently, being embarrassed and then suddenly hitting the height of contentment for the day sends her pheromones to overdrive, as well. The sad thing about this is that she can't smell herself, which makes her unknowing of how she's affecting other people. She's innocent, she swears. :(

And unfortunately, the Chroma flow is soothing enough to lull her, too. Cloud might have woken up because of Weiss' panic which then turned into her not caring anymore, but being close to him again has made Weiss fall into the spell of comfort. There might be a huge action scene happening right now, but her eyelids are slowly closing in on her.

This is far too pleasant for her and her body that she can barely stay awake. ]

[ It may be something he brings up later on, but as he mulls, there's a part of him that wants to keep it hidden from her. Their effect is strong, not to mention that they've spent the entire late afternoon to evening together by now. It's Cloud's sheer force of will that leaves him resisting that compulsion. It's challenging, by gods was it challenging. But he also doesn't want her to feel bad either.

When the two of them finally stop moving and shuffling for comfort, he simply takes a deep breath and focuses on the comforting Chroma being supplied to him. He's definitely made up for what he's spent today. With his arm around her waist, he couldn't go after her hair or brush the feathers on her exposed arm. He wants to pet the bird... :(

But when his softly glowing eyes drift down to Weiss one more time, he notices just how relaxed she is. Even more than usual. He's seen this look before, especially with eyelids so heavy that keeping them open was a chore. And somehow, despite the raw, potent height of her pheromones, and the thirst that's crept up on him as if there's little end in sight... Seeing the look on her face as she's enchanted by the warmth she holds at her side and the Chroma it brings... ]

.....

[ How could he disturb that? His expression softens as his gaze returns to the final act of the film. He may be resisting her pheromones, but Cloud submits to something far more important.

Her. ]

(Suck it up, Cloud.)

[ She really would feel bad. Weiss doesn't think it's something she can just apologise for, either. The last time someone pointed out that her pheromones was driving them crazy, she apologised profusely and said she wouldn't have come if she knew. At that time, she wanted the ground to swallow her up whole. The situation worked out fine in the end though, but to have it happen again would be far too embarrassing.

But right now, she's oblivious and is enjoying the warmth that Cloud is providing a little too much. Realising how close they are to each other now... honestly, Weiss feels a little giddy. Cloud said she wasn't being too much, either, which means she can just be herself around him.

The movie ends with the tournament finals being hi-jacked by the Moon Knights. Something about how participants were under the influence of drugs—somehow, that should be familiar to Weiss, but what happened in the Lightless was bad and she doesn't want to remember it at all. She'd honestly ask why the Moon Knights suddenly showed up, but opts not to because she doesn't want to disturb Cloud anymore.

When the final scenes wrap up, and it's one aftermath scene after another, what are the characters doing now, et cetera, Weiss pulls away slightly. It's not like they can continue sitting like this, anyway, when they have to get up, soon. ]
