VISION Below average height, with light skin but packing a lot of lean muscle. Cloud's probably some sort of JRPG™ weight; but he's built a little beefier than some Final Fantasy protags. Two of his most notable traits are his absurdly spiky (yet somehow soft) blond hair and blue eyes. Being an unwilling test subject for five years, his body underwent genetic modifications to infuse him with mako energy (thus why his eyes softly glow) and Jenova cell injections; traits of an elite SOLDIER. Because of this, his body heals most of his scars (save for one recent one from when he was shot in the face by Yazoo. just a scratch over his eyebrow!). One piercing on his left ear. His outfit was designed for battle in mind, but he otherwise wears mostly dark clothing, rarely seen in bright colors. A ribbed, navy blue, open-collar vest, black trousers with the the bottoms held up by little belts to reduce dragging beneath his boots. Speaking of belts? He kind of wears a few too many. Two belts intersect across his upper body- one to support a black cape that drapes his left leg, and the other more practical across his chest to secure the wolf-themed shoulder pauldron he wears. He occasionally sports a loose, clothed black sleeve down his left arm beneath the shoulder armor, once used to conceal both the pink ribbon he wears in memory of Aerith and his former Geostigma infection. Also leather gloves. ...with little silver wolf studs on the cuffs. Did you know Cloud is a Sanguis? He'll sometimes have strapped to the back of his waist a criss-cross sheath system for containing all six parts of the Fusion Sword. They can combine in different ways for various combat situations, or he can put it all together for his preferred method of fighting Buster Sword style. SOUND Cloud has been voiced in Japanese by Takahiro Sakurai in almost everything he's been in. His English voice actor for the longest time (before being replaced for the upcoming remake) has been Steve Burton. In both cases, his tone of voice is usually rather soft and cool sounding. But it's not quieter either, capable of holding his own during more serious conversations. The only times he'll trail off are when he's nervous or in doubt over what to think or say next. When he does raise his voice, it's usually out of anger (he's mellowed out in later years, but can still get hot-headed), sassing someone if he feels it's deserved, or in the heat of battle. When speaking with people he knows well or are close to him, his voice is gentler as well. With just about everyone though, Cloud's manner of speech is more short and to the point than not. Instead of starting most of his sentences like, "I have to go fast," he shortens a lot of his sentences down like, "Gotta go fast," or "Never thought I'd see the day..." foregoing a lot of instances of starting sentences with I. He's a light curser, has a tendency to come off as sounding cocky/confident towards enemies, and isn't afraid of quipping back with comeback lines. ...or saying peculiar slangs in lieu of more common words. "Alright everyone. Let's mosey." Guess you can't take the country boy completely outta him. SCENT A subtle scent of metal and light earthiness. Does mako even have a smell? His hair smells like clean, fresh spring with a mild floral tone. Shampoo, conditioner and soap (don't ask how it stays spiky. it's natural). Doesn't wear cologne, but if he does wind up getting some here in Lunatia? It'll be lightly fruity and floral, wrapped up nicely with a more masculine, cool whiff of a woody Oriental note. MISC. Permissions & Kinks! Cloud is a soft boy whose cool when the going gets tough, but a total dork without even realizing it. One of these days I'm gonna need someone to take off one of his belts and tie him by the wrists with it. Or vice versa if that's your thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
